These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Tend, operated by Sam Slesinger ("we," "our," or "us"), an SMS-based service that sends you reminders to stay in touch with friends and family. By texting the Tend number, you agree to these Terms.
Tend sends periodic SMS reminders to help you maintain relationships with people you care about. After opting in, you can add contacts (first name and last initial) and receive bi-weekly reminders on Tuesdays to reach out to those contacts. Following each reminder, you may receive a check-in message asking whether you connected with your contact.
By texting any message to the Tend phone number, you consent to receive recurring automated SMS messages from Tend, including reminders, check-ins, and service notifications. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies based on the number of contacts you add — approximately 2 messages per contact every 2 weeks.

You may opt out of receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any Tend message. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To resubscribe, reply START.

You agree to provide accurate information when using the service and not to use Tend for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for ensuring that any contacts you add have a relationship with you and would reasonably expect you to be in touch with them.
Tend is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including missed reminders due to service outages or carrier issues.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
